Our Story

We are Heather and Lauren, the founders of Vintage HQ! Our shared passion for the planet combined with our love of beautiful things and beautiful spaces inspired us to start HQ.

Our mission is to inspire people to consciously curate spaces that reflect their individuality, without sacrificing style or sustainability.

As much as we love beautiful things and the stories behind them, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Choosing vintage extends the life of an item, conserves resources, and inspires us to intentionally collect pieces that are personal to us, and will grow with our style and spaces over time.

About Heather

Hi, I’m Heather, a co-founder of HQ and mom to our shop dog, Ziggy! My love for vintage is fueled by the feeling I get when I find a piece that inspires conversation and tells a story.

I credit my penchant for hunting vintage to my mom and aunt, who like me, are obsessed with finding odd and beautiful things, and always taught me that the best-designed spaces are unique to you, filled with personal treasures collected over time.

You will never see me pass up a vintage Harley Davidson t-shirt, a unique jacket, or a set of champagne coupes!

About Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren (the Q of HQ). I studied environmental health in college and I have not stopped panicking about climate change since. My foray into vintage began when I started shopping second-hand to reduce my carbon footprint. I fell in love with hunting for beautiful and unique pieces.

My grandfather was a carpenter and I grew up appreciating well-made furniture. I love sourcing well-crafted, classic pieces or anything I can refinish. Anything classic (that your grandma would like) was probably sourced by me.

When I’m not working on HQ, I work as a freelance photographer!

About Ziggy

Ziggy is an adolescent rescue pup and the true visionary behind the HQ brand. She had her mom type her bio because she doesn’t have opposable thumbs. Her favorite things to curate are woven baskets for her toys, secondhand outfits, and vintage blankets to adorn her many beds.
